Asus N56vz Es71 15 6 Inch Laptop Black

I just upgraded from a three-year-old Acer laptop, and so far this laptop has been a swell choices Looks sleek and sharp, runs fast, plays games beautifully (almost the original thing I did when I got it up and running was install Diablo 3 and Tera), matte screen looks nice and crisp. It’s finelooking much precisely what I was looking for in a laptop. Definitely happy with it so far.

A couple of things that might or may not be negatives for you:

- As another reviewer mentioned, the Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics card is DDR3, not GDDR5. This didn’t matter much to me because it’s still a very meaningful upgrade over what I was using before, but whether or not you’re looking for a GDDR5 video card you won’t find it here.

- ASUS BLOATWARE. Holy &@*$ there is a lot of bloatware that comes on this thing. I expended a while the other day attempting to uninstall their preinstalled programs and I still have a bunch of processes running on my computer that I don’t recognize. I’m toying with the idea of just wiping and reinstalling a clean version of Windows. All I want is to buy a laptop with a to a complete degree basic/bare-bones Windows installation and a browser so I may install everything else myself, but I have yet to have that happen.

UPDATE:

I ended up doing a clean Windows reinstall to wipe out Asus’s bloatware.

For the most share everything is still great, but there’s one nuisance I’ve come throughout in regards to audio. When no sound is playing, each 10 seconds or so I’ll hear a soft popping sound from my speakers. It drives me nuts when I’m sitting around browsing the internet without any music playing, but I’m not sure what’s causing it (already altered my drivers, etc). It doesn’t occur if they’re playing sound (music, games, etc). That being said, the speakers sound swell otherwise, and the little subwoofer that comes with the laptop is a nice little addon.

I’ve in addition encountered that I actually have 4 USB3.0 ports, instead of 2 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0.

Hi Guys,i bought this laptop on the 26th and got it on the 30th because of the holidays. I bought it from Amazon for 999$.

The specs are the same as everybody i guess it is a N56VZ

-500gb 5400rpm (will replace it with Seagate Momentus XT 750 Hybrid SDD)

-4GB of RAM ( 6GB as listed on Amazon Product Description ,but amazon solved this issue via a partial refund)

-Nvidia Gefore GT 650m (2GB)

Ok ,Well my impressions are this computer is one of the best i have, and i think it will last me long giving careful consideration to the built quality , So I’ll describe what i see in this computer.

Sound- Well initial of all, its louder than my former HP Dv6 one. even though the sound quality isn’t much to brag. I recognise most individuals and videos show that the sound quality is top notch to be honest, it genuinely does ,the sub-woofer genuinely assist very much, It is loud, just piercing as hell!.

Speed/Performance – Lets be honest, is a new computer and as every new computers they are…well fast. I did have numerous hiccups, YouTube videos from time to time don’t buff or play at all in Google chrome. In IE the keyboard locks it self or something because every time i attempt to type in the search engine or the address it wont do anything.

Quality- Well this is my 2nd laptop…and to be honorable i love the quality, it feels nice, it feels durable and best of all it looks Awesome .

Weight- well giving careful consideration to that my old laptop was a gaming computer and employed to weight around 7 pounds this one is exceedingly light (in my opinion) it does weight normal,The thickness of the computer is well…thin .

Battery- Well i haven’t tried much or test it but i seen that i gotten around 3-3:20 hours on battery save, 2:40 on Entertainment and around 2:30 on High Performance, I find these times to be special since my old laptop maxed @ 1:40hrs of battery life. galore have said that you get around 4 hours.. And well since i haven’t tried it ,can’t in truth comment on it, although it is possible.

Other- It is quiet it doesn’t get hot, The display is awesome!, it does look a bit small for me,if it was just 17″ it would be more than convenient,i recognise there is another 17″ out there but the overall size didn’t suite me.

Gaming/ Video – Well to be honest i haven’t tested any good games, But one that i did test was Ace of Combats. And the heat was low,I am not an expert but i guess the temperatures are low on normal surfing or low demanding games, Videos, Well i been watching a lot of YouTube, Netflix, and other video origins and i may say, it looks extremely good. The video buffs fast, and barely any stops ( giving careful consideration to my connection is top notch) HDMI sure works like ClockWork.

Conclusion- I’m in truth Glad i bought this computer, is top notch quality, on all its aspects,Weight, Battery life, and performance is something that i commend this computer on. Any questions you have please let met recognise and I’ll answer as best i can,Please note I’m not that much of an expert but i do know one or two things regarding computers. peace!

This computer is amazing. firstborn OF ALL: The tech specs on amazon are incorrect. HERE are the CORRECT tech specs:

-Core i7-3610QM @ 2.3 GHz (quad core, hyperthreaded so 8 virtual cores, turbo modes up to 3.3 GHz)

-4 GB Ram

-2GB nVidia GeForce GT 650M

-1366×768 resolution

-422 GB HD space (1×186 GB HDD + 1×254 GB HDD)

Anyway, the computer is INCREDIBLY powerful. This machine plays Crysis on ABSOLUTE MAX graphics with 4x Anti Aliasing and gets well over 40 FPS consistently. I have yet to attempt Crysis 2. But it must run the same. If it may max out crysis, it’ll max out any game.

The design of the chassis is beautiful. Very sleek, chiclet keyboard that lights up (with adaptable adjustable The laptop is very slim.

The ASUS InstantOn feature lets you you wake this baby up from sleep in literally 2 seconds flat.

Very light, only like 6 pounds. So light you’ll forget that you’re carrying a desktop alternate that may max out crysis.

This in addition comes with an external mini subwoofer. And very cool Audio equalizer programs for your speakers.

Hello. I am from Ecuador and two days ago I get my asus n56 on these two days of use I say that is the best laptop I’ve employed since I have had laptops HP, SONY, COMPAQ, etc.. and neither of them compares to the asus n56 start

SOUND job It is the best sound I’ve heard in a laptop I’ve had laptops for a good deal of brands and not one purchased at the sound of the asus n56 and in addition comes with an external bass which connects and enhances the bass sound, when I met in my home with my friends had to connect my laptop to a ampficador or merely select galore songs and copy them to a pen drive to listen to numerous external player but now with the asus n56 not need any of that because with the sound of asus sufficient for me to have fun

KEYBOARD job It’s really beautiful keys are very soft but very robust you see good stuff and are well distributed are illuminated you may set the intensity of the keyboard ilminacion

TOUCHPAD job It is refined and tasteful and is easy to use commands like the touchpad gestures of macbook

SCREEN job It has good solution so a heap of say it is only 1366 – 768 is enough for me that the videos and movies look great, so the solution is no problem for me also the screen is not vivid and that is very good because it reflects nothing and that it allows for better vision

SYSTEM job The ASUS N56 is really fast comes with some software asus included but most are very utile for editing audio, video, images. You can also choose amidst energy saving and high performance, the camera solution is very good with detection of faces another very interesting application is the storage drive with this internetsite can store pictures documents music etc on the network. When you run any application or program a game you can choose the intel graphics card or the nvidia card, I use this laptop for a long time and not overheat and is fully silent asus logo carried on the back of the screen is very elegant and backlit which makes this very attractive Asus n56

That’s all I can say with regards to asus n56 on the truth is much better than describe it but do not know what else to say so I commend this product 100% guaranteed and sorry my English is not very good

First, let’s start out by saying that I do not own this laptop. This review is based on the specifications on paper, and on my experience with having helped over 3500 individuals on the NotebookReview forums with laptop buy associated decisions.

——————————————————-

The version of the NVIDIA GT 650M used in this laptop is the DDR3 memory version, while a lot of other laptops that use this GPU include the more immediate GDDR5 memory version. On average, the GDDR5 version will be regarding 19% faster, and in cases where memory speed is a meaningful bottleneck the divergence has been recorded to exceed 80%. As of the time of writing this review, there are numerous choices available for below $999 (or not too much more) that include the quicker GDDR5 version of the GT 650M.

Run a Google search on the string “GT650M DDR3 vs GDDR5 divergence tested”, and the firstborn result must be the NotebookReview thread where I got these numbers from.

——————————————————-

Unlike the N56VZ-DS71 and many other laptops that offer the GT 650M, this laptop comes with a 15.6″ 1366×768 display instead of a 15.6″ 1920×1080 display.

15.6″ 1366×768 and 17.3″ 1600×900 displays make things onscreen rather large, and they tend to have very poor effigy quality due to low contrast because these lower-resolution displays tend to be inexpensively manufactured. I commend to keep out of the way of buying laptops that have this type of display to those who have a budget that allows them to get a laptop that has a better display and still suits their needs, and who don’t require more spectacular text for eyesight-related reasons.

——————————————————-

This laptop comes with a Core i7 processor, but for most people it shouldn’t be a high priority to have a fast CPU. For one thing, gaming is bottlenecked greatly by the GPU, not the CPU. Having a fast GPU is going to make more of a difference for game performance than having a fast CPU. In the majority of cases, you must look to get a good GPU and a decent display before you undertake to find a specially fast processor. And if you don’t plan on running GPU-intensive games or any other application that depends on GPU performance, then the GPU will not be in particular relevant to your usage either.

——————————————————-

There are a number of choices available that sport the GDDR5 version of the GT 650M, and come with 1920×1080-resolution displays, that I would recommend taking into consideration before you take the leap on this laptop.

Available on Amazon:

**MSI GE60** (i7-3610QM, NVIDIA GT 650M GDDR5, 15.6″ 1920×1080 matte shiny – $1,099 no tax

- Here is a link to the product on Amazon: MSI Computer G Series GE60 0NC-006US 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black/Red)

Available elsewhere:

**Sager NP6165** (i5-2450M, NVIDIA GT 650M GDDR5, 15.6″ 1920×1080 shiny display) – $949 no tax

- Run a Google search on the string “Sager NP6165 Clevo W150ER p 4344″ and the introductory result ought to be the configuration page for the NP6165 on XoticPC.

- Ensure that you select Windows 7 underneath the configuration option labeled Operating System, unless you have your own valid serial key.

**HP DV6t Quad Edition** (i7-3610QM, NVIDIA GT 650M GDDR5, 15.6″ 1920×1080 matte display) – around $849 to $999 + tax depending on available coupon

- Scroll over to “Graphics Card” and select the 1GB NVIDIA GT 650M upgrade. The GT 630M is considerably slower, and the farther 2GB upgrade will not make a especially significant difference for game performance.

- Scroll over to “Display” and select the “Full HD Anti-glare LED-backlit Display (1920 x 1080)” upgrade. You shouldn’t buy this laptop in any configuration that includes the stock 1366×768 display instead of the upgraded 1920×1080 display unless you require bigger text for eyesight-related reasons.

- Other upgrades that are worth considering: mSSD Cache, Backlit Keyboard. But not at priority over the GT 650M (if gaming) or 1920×1080 display upgrades.

- Run a Google search on the string “HP DV6t 7000 Quad Edition Coupon”, and the first result should be a LogicBuy website that holds a coupon code for the DV6t Quad Edition.
